Standardne je to vlastnost playeru zabudovaneho v DRM a taky podminka aby dane DRM bylo schvaleno vlastniky kontentu.
Muzete argumentovat, ze TMO ted nema zapnute DRM (nevim, je mi to jedno), nebo ze tam nema zadne takove kanaly (taky nevim, taky je mi to jedno). Ale dnes neni zitra a ta situace se meni, takze mozna jednoho dne prijde i to HBO.
A pak je rozhodne jednodussi definovat parametry sluzby "od zacatku", nez je dodatecne menit.
A jeste drobnost, kazdy operator ma zajem o platici ovecky, tzn o uzivatele Apple, uzivatele, kteri si ochotne poridi novy model telefonu v okamziku, kdy prestane byt vyrobcem oficialne podporovany a podobne... ne o socky (bez urazky), ktere na telefonu z roku 123 behaji posledni verzi Androida, protoze to "jeste jede" a chteli by i televizi. Sorry, takhle to nefunguje. -

snad ma vlastni drm prehravac a kdyz ne tak pak neni problem video stream odchytit rovnou na routeru - na to neni potreba root na mobilu, navic je to mnohem smysluplnejsi (a rovnou to pak treba pres vlc streamovat do site).
- - Ne ze by to na armovym osmijadru s 2GHz teoreticky neslo (zpracovat primo ten stream), ale proc to tahat zpatky pres wifi a preplnovat si tak wifi pasmo?- - Zadalsi poustet si si TV na starsim stroji (obvykle s nejakym stredovekym displejem s malym rozlisenim a mizernou kvalitou) by se efektivne rovnalo masochismu... (mozna kdyby to melo hdmi)
- - Jina vec je to v pripade ukladani na fs, ale tady opet predpokladam bud drm nebo podobne reseni. Takze smysl by nanejvys melo omezit moznost ukladani streamu na root zarizenich (pokud se neuklada s drm). - Shrnul bych to tak, ze si nedovedu predstavit pouzitelny smartphone bez rootu - teda krom predvadeni se, telefonovani a par dalsich veci, ktery ale zvladnou treba i ty hloupy lumie :D

Ale vždyť je to pořád o tom samém. Buď má člověk náhodou správnou třídu zařízení (tablet nebo mobil, žádný desktop, notebook, ..) se správným operačním systémem ve správné verzi, a projde všemi těmi divnými kontrolami (tady na roota), nainstaluje si jejich program (s trochou štěstí bez přidaného malware, jako na Sony CD blahé paměti), překousne všechny reklamy a bububu varování před pirátěním, aby (pokud má DRM dobrou náladu a zrovna nespadne síť) si mohl na pidi displeji pustit béčkové televizní seriály, tedy je-li na ně zrovna ten správný čas.
Všichni ostatní si to zwarezí a přehrají kdykoliv, kdekoliv a na čemkoliv.
Proto je warezení hnusné, zabíjí kulturu, a je potřeba ještě víc buzerací. -
Jste takzvaně mimo mísu.
žádný velký poskytovatel obsahu u autorsky chráněného obsahu nemá důvod k podpoře nezávislých malých a z pohledu korporace i směšných vývojářů. Protože nepřímo tím bude podporovat šíření obsahu i mimo oficiální kanál.
Celé kouzlo s root oprávnění nemá nic společného s DMR / rozlišením, kvalitou, taktem CPU, počtem jader atd…. ….ale na rootlém zařízení při načtení FS si kupodivu řekne o práva roota i pro vy-listování adresářů které jsou jinak user skryté. Takže íháááá…
Pro obyčejné uživatele není smartphone bez rootu problém, což samo spousta třeba androidultrazz nechápe. Stejně jako sebestředně nechápou, že oni žádné kšefty výrobců neudělají

Prostě to na root zařízení nebude nabízet ukládání na disk a hotovo! Nemusí to listovat žádným adresářem.
Zadalší, každá aplikace má vlastní chráněný adresář plně ve své režii, ve kterém žádný takový su-dialog nevzniká. Tam si případně může ukládat cokoli (samozřejmě že se tam s rootem člověk dostane, a to ještě jen když nemá OS nastavenou izolaci adresářů v rámci SEL, ale pokud si tam aplikace ukládá s drm, tak to stejně uživatel nepřečte).
A jak říkám, telefon bez rootu je jen zbytečná cihla. Osobně na telefonování používám starou nokii, která je v tomhle stále nejlepší. Smartphone by prostě měl sloužit jako univerzální zařízení a ne být omezen na pár výrobcem předinstalovaných aplikací plus v možnostech zkrip*ených serepetiček (protože bez rootu atd.) z marketu.

Jo a ještě poznámka - používám hafo aplikací, které mohou vylistovat adresáře, notabene s výběrem adresáře přímo v dialogu (např. Disk Analyzer) a su dialog opravdu nevyvolávají. Uživateli nepřístupné složky se prostě a jednoduše nezobrazí. Zkuste si to v reálu. Podívejte se pak pro ujištění třeba do historie superuser požadavků, kde nic takového nenajdete. Takže opravdu, ale opravdu nevím, kdo je tady mimo mísu :)

Pravděpodobně ano. Aplikace pokud detekuje možnost root přístupu, by měla vyvolat požadovaný dialog o povolení.
Celá „senzace“ může být jen v možnosti uložení záznamu na parcelu nebo adresář, který jinak nemá user práva. Takže agitace pro nezávislé tvůrce a firmy vám stojí na krapet vratkých nohách.
Hlavně nečekejte že by Vás tam TM, O2, HBO pustilo…. …a pokud by se Vám náhodou takovou aplikaci pro jejich službu podařilo napsat a distribuovat než pochvalu, nebo nabídku od jejich HR oddělení spíš čekejte dopis od jejich právního oddělení nebo rovnou soudní obsílku.
